St. Francis Medical Center celebrated the opening of its new gift shop with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 12, 2024. The gift shop is a partnership with Lori’s Gifts, a gift shop management company. The store features a wide variety of merchandise including flowers, greeting cards, snacks, beverages, apparel, electronic accessories, plush toys, health and beauty products, and gift items for all ages. In-store and online purchase options and same-day delivery service to patients’ rooms and hospital departments make it convenient for patients, family members, visitors, and staff.
St. Francis CEO Clay Farell opened the ceremony by acknowledging the hospital leaders and staff who were part of the planning process. He said, “I want to thank all of you for helping to make this happen and bring the vision to life.” He shared that the new gift shop is among a number of medical center enhancements currently underway — including a new parking area and volunteer program — that benefit patients, employees, and the community.
Mr. Farell recognized Lori’s Gifts as a valued partner in the planning effort and introduced the members involved with the store’s successful launch. Lori’s Gifts Regional Vice President Bob Robinson expressed his excitement at being at St. Francis. He said his team approached this project from the perspective of “how can we do right for the hopsital and right for the environment.” Appraising the gift shop in full he said, “I think you can agree with me, it came out amazing. We couldn’t be more happy to be part of this institution.”
The gift shop is located in the main lobby of the Patient Tower. It offers daily, weekly, and monthly specials as well as fun promotions throughout the year, in addition to a rewards program. St. Francis Medical Center looks forward to the gift shop providing added service and convenience for shoppers and to contributing to the warm welcome the hospital extends to everyone who comes through its doors.
