Highly Skilled Team

Our OB-ED is equipped with nine triage beds where board-certified obstetricians and certified labor and delivery nurses specially trained in treating high-risk pregnancies will provide evaluations, assessments, and medical screening exams for pregnant women who are in need of immediate care. Our OB-ED will help to ensure that expectant mothers receive timely, specialized care from providers experienced in managing obstetrical emergencies.

St. Francis Medical Center is well known for the comprehensive services and dedicated care we offer to maternity patients. This encompasses an experienced team of obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and specialty-trained nurses; a high-risk pregnancy program; a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); and a partnership with nationally recognized CHOC/UCI Health that provides neonatologists, nurses, and respiratory and occupational therapists to meet the unique needs of premature infants and newborns requiring specialized care. Our OB-ED is another important service available to support expectant mothers in our community.

Here for You if Health Concerns Cause Complications

Our OB-ED not only provides emergency obstetric care access to maternity patients in our community, but also offers added reassurance for expectant mothers who may be coping with chronic health concerns. We understand that health conditions such as diabetes, obesity, or hypertension can lead to complications and premature births.
